WESLEY KRESS / BACKGROUND & STORY

Curiosity. Experience.
A personal approach.

Clinical training and lived experience inform how I meet the person in front of me.

EDUCATION & APPROACH

A foundation across disciplines.

Wesley is a board-certified acupuncturist with a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture (PIHMA).

He also studied marketing and finance at the undergraduate level and holds an MBA with concentrations in accounting and finance, with a specialty in investments, from the University of New Mexico’s Anderson School of Management.

After teaching undergraduate and graduate classes at UNM Anderson, he began consulting for integrative healthcare practitioners while pursuing his MSOM.

Clinical experience

His work spans pain, injury rehabilitation, physical performance, and complex health concerns. He has worked with people rebuilding everyday function, post-surgical and injury rehabilitation patients, and high school, collegiate, and professional athletes.

Chinese medicine, NEUBIE neuromuscular stimulation, movement, physiology, and experiential inquiry may inform a session. The direction depends on the person’s history, goals, and response to the work.

Continued learning

In 2016, Wesley began an ongoing mentorship with Bryon Leon Powers, L.Ac. He credits that relationship as an important influence on his understanding of Chinese medicine.

His own health challenges have also led to sustained study across nutrition, recovery, performance, emotional experience, and the wider human experience.

What this means for your care

One integrative 60-minute session provides space to explore what is relevant to you. Tools are selected along the way, followed by individualized observations and practical next steps.

MY STORY / IN CONVERSATION

Hear the story.
In my own words.

These two conversations are among the fullest accounts of my personal journey. They offer more context for the experiences, questions, and understanding that inform my work today.

IN MY OWN WORDS

The experience behind the approach.

My interest in health began with my own search for answers.

Over many years, I explored the relationships between physical health, emotional experience, identity, and the way I moved through life. The process included uncertainty, setbacks, and changes in how I understood both myself and healing.

These photographs mark two points in that personal journey. What matters most to me is what changed beyond appearance: how I experienced myself, related to others, and approached my life.

That experience informs the care I offer today, alongside my clinical education and professional experience. It reminds me to stay curious, listen carefully, and respect that another person’s path may look very different from my own.

A personal reflection on my own experience. These photographs do not establish what caused a change or predict another person’s experience.
